Hanifa Nayo Washington is a dynamic leader and transformational healer with 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience. Her unique roles as a sacred activist, healing justice practitioner, communications strategist, and digital creative distinguish her in the realm of social change.
Guided by her dedication to beloved community as her north star, Hanifa is deeply invested in and actively shaping the psychedelic field. Notably, she has played a pivotal role as a Founding Team Emerita of Fireside Project, is the Lead Facilitator of the Psilocybin Equity Project within OHA’s Oregon Psilocybin Services, and serves on the Community Advisory Council of the Oregon Psilocybin Evaluation Nexus.
Adding to her 15+ years as a transformational healer, Hanifa is currently studying with InnerTrek to secure her psilocybin facilitator license in Oregon and is collaborating with Beckley Retreats to design and facilitate psilocybin-assisted wellness retreats for marginalized communities. In 2019, Hanifa co-founded One Village Healing, an online space dedicated to healing, resilience, and psychedelic wellness, with a focus on BIPOC communities.
